bitti d'lish All in One - Medium - Galaxybitti d'lish All in One - Medium - Eton

These are so soft and so adorable ! I am planning on using one of these to do some "newborn in a diaper" pictures once the Wee Captain Seahorse arrives ;)
In my opinion, they are definitely suited to those warm summer days coming up; baby can relax in just a t-shirt and  diaper... Stay cool and show off that cute fluff ! You have the choice of one of those cute prints above, all you have to do is comment !

Tell me about why you did or want to start cloth diapering :) Was it about costs? Health? the Environment? or just all of the crazy, fluffy cuteness ?

For me, it started with costs. I was a young, broke Mama, and I was trying to figure out how to stretch my Honey's paycheck. I didn't think I could afford to use any of the new, exciting cloth diapers out there. However, I soon realized that with some good bargain hunting, I could do just that- making cloth diapering not only cheap, but easy.
As I added children to the family and our finances stabilized, I also learned more about my own values ( amazing how that happens when just making end's meet doesn't consume all of your energy...) and cloth diapering became more of a conviction. I value my children's health and getting back to the way that God intended the world to be, without manufactured chemicals and trash adorning our bodies.

At the end of the giveaway, one comment will be randomly picked, through the super high-tech method of "number in a hat." :) Maybe I can turn it into a little bit of homeschooling incentive and see which child will get to do the honors :D The winner will be announced and contacted for a shipping address ASAP :)
* This giveaway is self-sponsored...these are just too cute not to share, and I love getting other people on board the cloth diaper choo-choo train :)

  1. I chose to cloth diaper for the cost - expensive to start, cheaper for life ;) I also like not throwing out tons of sposies. I also think its better for my baby's skin!

  2. Mainly for health/environment reasons. The cost savings and cuteness are added bonuses! Thanks for the giveaway!

  3. I was the same way! My sister-in-law used cloth diapers and introduced me to the idea. I loved the idea of saving money and helping the environment all while getting my baby girl in some cute prints! After a little convincing, my husband jumped on board and it has been great so far (only 4 months!)

  6. We started to cloth diaper to save money at first and with my husband being a biology teacher, the environment was another huge reason for us. But now it is the cuteness :) Thank you!!

  12. i started CD for many reasons... mostly for my sons health, cost and the environment. my oldest had horrible rashes from disposables and after reading how much they have changed in the past 9 years it was not going near my son!! i am in love with CD and its fluffy cuteness!!

  13. It really started for us because of unforseen financial demise in our family. That's putting it nicely. LOL Added to that fact, was that our son was a preemie, and I felt that it was really just what he NEEDED for some reason. The environmental stuff is a bonus. We are currently working on becoming a lot greener in our house for the sake of finances besides that also. Our stash isn't quite big enough for two yet, and we have two in diapers, but we've only been at it for 3 months now. :)

  14. When I became pregnant with #2, I realized that if it was difficult paying for diapers NOW, then it would be IMPOSSIBLE to pay for diapers LATER. Then a girl moved in across the way who cloth diapered, and she showed me her stash and how she washed. That's what hooked me!

  15. Initially, I started because of the cost savings, but then the more I read about health benefits and it being better for the environment, I realized I cloth diaper for multiple reasons.

  42. It all started when we found out we were expecting baby #2. Now we're expecting #4 and with 4 in diapers there is no other way to go.

    ReplyDelete
  43. For me, it was a combo of things that led to cloth diapering. I had some friends that CD'ed and it was just too darn cute! My first child had Uber sensitive skin and cloth worked well for her. Now, I cloth diaper for the savings and primarily the health reasons!
    sarah.robot at gmail dot com

  44. Also for me it was the cost. One day in the supermarket, buying diapers again, it just got me. I had seen some grovia in a local eco store and went there after groceries were done. bought 1 diaper and now i have about 30.
there is now definitely the cuteness factor involved and i never realized before that a diaper takes 500 years to be gone from landfills. even the very first disposable diaper ever made, is still around. :(

    ReplyDelete
  45. We originally chose cloth to save money, but wel ove the environmental no-waste aspect, too!

    ReplyDelete
  59. I started cloth diapering for a few reasons. Mainly because it's better for our environment and because there are no chemicals on my baby's butt! Also, because they are stinking cute. And lastly, for the cost, because let's face it, if you get sucked in and start buying lots of super cute cloth diapers, it can add up :)

    ReplyDelete
  60. We cloth diaper because I think the chemicals they put into today's disposable diapers are questionable at best. We are also using cloth for the environmental impact of disposables.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I did not CD my older 2 kids (9 & 7)....we are waiting to adopt a newborn and have decided due to health/chemicals, cost effectiveness, the environment and how darn cute the prints are that we will be cloth diapering this time around. Thanks for offering the giveaway! Love the Galaxy print!

  80. The 2 main reasons I want to cloth diaper my baby due in early June are cost and the cuteness! I love that I'm saving a ton of money in the long run by using cloth diapers - because they're a one time expense, and they're less likely to cause diaper rash (less $ spent on diaper rash cream, right?). That is why I decided to cloth diaper. But since I've started shopping for CDs, I've fallen in love with how flippin' cute they are!

  81. i started because i was saving money and helping the environment!

  84. We started cloth to save money. We decided to let me try out this SAHM gig, so saving money is a big plus. After we started, I slowly but surely realized how much waste we had in other aspects of our lives, so we focused on decreasing the waste not with just diapers and wipes. But if I'm being honest....they are just so cute! I LOVE A FLUFFY BUM! :)

  111. I started using cloth because of finances. My sisters have been trying to convince me for over a year now and I when I finally realized that I didn't have to jump in with both feet and commit to cding, I was willing to try. Needless to say I've been won over completely now. ;) I love that my baby is wearing soft diapers instead of paper and plastic ones and of course they are quite cute. My sister even sells her own brand of diapers now! :D

    ReplyDelete
  112. I started cloth because of the economical benefits. Since having my first son I've been a SAHM while my husband teaches at a private Christian school. We have to save money where we can since we are on one income now and using cloth diapers is one way we are doing it :) We didn't start till after our son turned one. We are expecting another son next month so it will be even more reason to use cloth instead of disposables with 2 in diapers (my first is 20 months now). Now that I've started, I enjoy not seeing all the disposables in the garbage!

    ReplyDelete
  113. I started cd'ing because it seemed the normal thing to do (despite the vast majority of Americans not cd'ing). My husband and I were both (yes, both) cloth diapered so it was really a logical step for us.

Cloth diapers have come a long way, but it may interest you to know that we inherited our own diapers back and used them on our oldest...until they fell apart. :) 30 years does things to fabric.

  129. I would say the environment is the largest factor for me. I just hate every time I throw away another disposable. The money savings is probably second, and then they're just cute!

  130. i started cloth diapering when my now 3 year old son was 1. he had ripped open one of his disposable diapers and the little pee filled gel bits got all over our carpet. it was a huge pain to clean up, but also made me realize how many chemicals were up against his tush, and how artificial disposable diapers really are! cost and cuteness were major factors in getting hubby on board, but for me, it was all about having REAL diapers :D

  139. I started for financial reasons and it grew from there. Now I am in love with the environmental and health reasons. I have gone from cloth diapers to cloth wipes, and un-paper towels and am gradually moving towards family cloth. I love cloth diapers! They are sooo cute as well, and addictive! I talk to everyone I know about the benefits of cloth diapering.

  150. We started for two reasons, 1) we had one in diapers and another one on the way and buying disposables for two isn't cheap! and 2) my son was wetting through disposables at night and he was in the largest size and I refused to buy pull-ups for even more money! Cloth diapers helped him wake up with dry sheets!!
